Minecraft Tutorial Surviving the First Night.
In this Minecraft Tutorial we will show you how to survive the first night, in one of the most fun games.
If you’ve played Minecraft you know how tough it can be for new players to get through the first night. Well we’ve developed an easy step by step tutorial that will not only keep you safe the first night but it will leave you prepared for the second day aswell. Stay Tuned to this article as we walk you through the steps for “Minecraft Surviving The First Night”.
The first day is time sensitive so try to do these steps as fast as possible. 1 Minecraft day = 20 minutes of gameplay with 10 minutes of day time and 1 1/2 minutes of dusk/dawn and 7 minutes of night. Since the first day begins in day light you lose the 1 1/2 minutes of Dusk
So the first day you have 11 1/2 minutes to be ready.(You’d be surprise how fast time flies while playing minecraft)
A. Get 3 Wood Blocks
B. Create Planks
C. Create Crafting Table
A. Use crafting table to create sticks
B. Use crafting table to create wooden axe
C. Use crafting table to create wooden shovel
D. Use crafting table to create wooden pick axe
A. wood (About 40 if possible)
B. cobble stone (About 30 if possible)
C. Sand (at least 10)
Now start gathering resources.
You will need about 40 wood blocks.
Once you have that you need to mine about 15 – 30 cobble stone
(note: Stone can be found by digging down or on the side of a mountain, mining stone will give you cobble stone blocks.)
And finally dig 20 sand blocks.
(Note: Sand is found next to water or in a desert)
A. Build with planks
(This is a basic Home structure made specifically to survive the night, your structures are only limited by your imagination.)
B. create and place doors
Start building a structure with two openings 7×7
Chop down the crafting table and insert it into the wall.
Leave another space similar to the one used for the crafting table, Which we will use later.
This is a great way to save resources andlooks great if you’re into interior designing.
Now create doors.
When you set the doors you have two choices either set the, from the inside or the outside.
Placing it on either side will set the door flush to the side you set it on.
I prefer setting them from the outside cause it feels like it keeps Mob further from you.
A. Create furnace
Create a furnace and fill in the extra space we made similar to the one for the crafting table.
A. Create charcoal with furnace
B. Create glass with furnace
The items we’re going to create now will help us with line of sight.
First we need charcoal place a 5-7 wood in the furnace top and wood planks in the furnace bottom. If you have ran out of wood and it is still day time, head out and get some. This process will create charcoal.
Once the charcoal is done place some charcoal on the bottom slot and sand on the top slot. This process will create glass.
When you have glass start chopping spots on the wall you wish to be able to see out of.(I prefer to have a 360 view of my surroundings just in case of Mobs lurking about)
Please note not all Mob disappear during the day some have resistance to the light. Such as creepers that can ruin all you work with one boom.
Try to fill in those spots while you chop them you never know if there’s a skeleton around and they’re archers who’s arrows can reach you through those wholes.
Once you’ve done that we’re ready for the next step.
A. Create torches
Time to create the final piece of the puzzle. Torches, torches are the most basic form of light in minecraft.
Head over to your crafting table and get a couple of sticks and some charcoal and place them like this.
Once you create them you can place them on the ground or my personal favorite the wall.
There’s no extra benefit of having them on the wall it’s just for interior designer purposes.
